  • In addition to academic achievements, Thapar Polytechnic College (TPC) encouragesstudents to participate and excel in various sports activities to ensure their overall development.
  • Thapar Polytechnic College has been traditionally doing very well in the inter polytechnic sports tournaments organised by PTIS.

    • Achievements of TPC students for the year 2012-2013

  • Bronze Medal won by our Hand Ball team in PTIS Inter Polytechnic Games
  • Inderpreet Singh had earned Bronze Medal in 200 m race during the PTIS Inter Polytechnic Athletic meet


    • Achievements for the year 2013-2014

  • Our Table Tennis team got Gold Medal in P.T.I.S inter-college zonal tournament 2013 held at our college in September 2013.

  • In the month of September 2013, Thapar Polytechnic College has successfully hosted P.T.I.S inter-zonal kabaddi tournament in which four teams participated from all the four zones of Punjab.

  • Table tennis team of Thapar Polytechnic College bagged the Gold Medal in P.T.I.S inter-zonal tournaments held in September 2013 at Adesh Polytechnic College, Muktsar.

  • Our college has bagged overall runners up trophy both for Athletics and games organized by PTIS, Punjab.

  • New History of Medal Winning in TPC was created. Five students bagged 12 Medals (4 Gold Medal, 6 Silver Medal, 2 Bronze Medal) out of which three students bagged three medals each, in various events.

  • It is heartening to mention here the achievements of our students in state level Athletic Meet organized by PTIS on March 24-25, 2014 at SUS Polytechnic Tangori. Overall runner up Trophy 2013-14 In Athletics was bagged by the students of our College. We owe this achievement to the brilliant performance of our athletes namely.

  • Bahadur Singh of ECE (Final Year) (1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal) .

  • Gurpreet Singh of Mech. Engg. (Final Year) (1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals) .

  • Inderpreet Singh of ECE (Second Year) (1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal) .
